Settings¶
The Settings tab on the AI Blog page is only shown to administrators. It has three tabs, In the post, New posts and Tracking and archiving, and one Save settings button covers all of them. Saving changes how posts written from now on are set up. The listing card style, the buttons, tracking and archiving also change posts you already have.
Listing card style¶
One setting for every AI blog post, old and new. Choose:
- Simple card: a wide card with the photo on one side and the title, price and a View details button on the other. On a narrow column the photo moves above the text. A Price drop or Sale pending label appears on the photo when it applies.
- One of your Search Result Item templates: any global SRI template, or one that belongs to an inventory type. The listing is drawn with your own design.
If the template you chose is later deleted or unpublished, the simple card is used. If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache to see a change on posts that are already cached.
Developers can change the simple card width with the dms_ai_blog_card_max_width filter (760 pixels by default) and the SRI card width with dms_ai_blog_sri_max_width (380 pixels).
Post category¶
The category new drafts are filed under. Leave it on Default category to use your site's default.
Post author¶
The author shown on the post once it is written. Leave it on The person who writes the post to use whoever clicked the button. Only users who can publish posts are listed.
Tags¶
When on, the inventory type (for example "Motorcycles") and, for a guide, the topic are added as tags.
Browse button¶
When on, each post ends with a button such as Browse all Motorcycles. By default it goes to the inventory page of the listing type. Under Browse button goes to you can choose any page instead.
The buttons are read each time the post is viewed, so changing them or turning them off here changes every AI post, old and new. They are drawn in the same style as the View details button on the cards, using your site's primary color. The "Browse similar" link on a sold listing's note is the same kind of button.
Count visits and leads¶
When on (the default), links in a post carry a campaign tag so the Results tab can show which listings and leads a post drove. See Results.
When every vehicle in a post has sold¶
Archive the post (the default) or do nothing. See Archiving.
Contact page¶
Under "Contact us" button goes to, choose a page to add a Contact us button next to the browse button. Leave it on No contact button to skip it.
Search engine plugins¶
If Yoast SEO, Rank Math or SEOPress is active, the meta description the AI wrote is filled into that plugin's field on the post. For any other plugin, copy the suggested description from the Posts tab.
Developers can add more fields with the dms_ai_blog_seo_meta_keys filter, which receives the list of post meta keys to fill.
