Fuel Efficiency

The Fuel Efficiency extension allows you to add and display fuel consumption data for each vehicle in your inventory. It introduces dedicated fields for city and highway fuel efficiency on the vehicle edit page, making it easy to enter and manage fuel economy details.

Once added, these values are displayed on the Vehicle Detail Page, giving potential buyers essential fuel consumption information. By enhancing transparency and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions, the Fuel Efficiency extension improves the overall shopping experience.

Requirements

Requirement Value
DMS version 1.0.0 or newer
License Starter or higher
Page builder Elementor, for the display element

Nothing to configure globally — no settings page. Values go on each listing, and presentation is set on the element.

How it works

  1. Enter City MPG and Highway MPG on the listing — a new panel appears on the edit screen as soon as the extension is active. See Adding Fuel Data.
  2. Place the Listing Fuel Efficiency element on your template and style it. See Fuel Efficiency Element.

Vehicles without either value simply don't render the element, so a mixed inventory needs no conditional logic on your template — electric vehicles and equipment just show nothing.

Not limited to MPG

The unit is a free text field, so it isn't tied to miles per gallon. Canadian dealers can set it to L/100km, and any other unit works the same way — the extension stores whatever numbers you enter and labels them however you like.
