Global & Standalone Elements

These elements work anywhere - regular WordPress pages as well as templates (a couple are also handy inside listing templates). Back to the element index.

Options vs Style

Elements with visual controls split their settings into two tabs: Options (what the element shows or does) and Style (typography, colours, borders, spacing). Elements with no styling show a single options table.

Map

[dms_map] · Anywhere - a standalone map.

Option What it does
Map Height Height of the map.
Latitude / Longitude The map's centre point.
Zoom Initial zoom level.
Marker Image A custom marker icon.
Marker Content Content shown in the marker popup.
Scroll-Wheel Zoom Let the mouse wheel zoom the map. Turn it off so scrolling the page is never caught by the map.
Drag to Pan Let visitors drag the map. Turn it off as well for a static map; on a phone the page then scrolls normally over it.
Parallax Speed Optional parallax scroll effect.

Comparison Table

[dms_comparison] · Anywhere - a table comparing listings side by side.

Option What it does
Inventory Type Which inventory type is compared. Required unless the site has a single inventory type, in which case that one is used automatically.
Maximum Listings How many listings can be compared at once. Defaults to 3 when left blank.
Fade Matching Specs Dim rows where all listings share the same value.
Hide Matching Specs Toggle Give shoppers a toggle to hide matching rows.
Allow Adding Listings Let shoppers add more listings to the comparison.
Categories Which categories appear as rows (with optional icons).
Footer button Button text and link shown under each column.
Style group Controls

Placing the shortcode by hand

[dms_comparison type="123" max="4"] - type is the inventory type ID and is required when the site has more than one inventory type. max is optional and defaults to 3. The listings being compared come from the ?listings= query string, set by the compare buttons elsewhere on the site.

Stock Alert

Option What it does
Inventory Type The type shoppers are signing up for.
Criteria Which categories shoppers can request alerts for.
Intro Text Text shown above the form.
Allow Empty Criteria Let shoppers sign up without choosing any criteria.
Show Phone Field / Require Phone Include and optionally require a phone number.
Consent Text Text beside a required consent checkbox.
Captcha Type Optional captcha to reduce spam.
Submit Label / Success / Error messages The button label and post-submit messages.

Scroller

[dms_scroller] · Anywhere, VDP - a scrolling row of listings (e.g. "similar inventory").

Option What it does
Inventory Type Which type to pull listings from.
Listing Group Limit to a listing group.
VDP Matching Category On a VDP, show listings that match this category of the current listing (e.g. same make).
Order By / Order Direction How listings are sorted.
Limit Maximum number of listings.
Title / Description Text shown above the scroller.
SRI Scroller Template The card template used for each slide.
Image Size / Hide Price / Show Pagination Per-slide display options.
Autoplay / Slides Per View / Slide Gap Motion and layout of the slides.
Arrows Show/hide and choose the prev/next icons.

[dms_category_links] · Anywhere, SRP - a list of a category's terms, each linking to filtered inventory.

Option What it does
Category The category whose terms are listed.
Inventory Page The results page the terms link to.
Show Totals Show the count of listings for each term. The count sits in its own <span class="dms-category-link-count">, so you can style it, move it to its own line or hide it with CSS.
Sold Listings Whether Sold listings are counted in the totals. The default follows the inventory type's "Hide sold listings" setting; when sold units are left out, terms that only have Sold listings are dropped too (unless Show Empty Terms is on).
Show Empty Terms Keep terms that have no listings, so a tile grid keeps its shape as stock sells.
Order Sort the links by the category's own order (the default), alphabetically, or by listing count with the highest first.
