Troubleshooting¶
"Could not produce a post that passed quality checks"¶
The AI wrote something the checks do not allow, for example a year, a price or a link that was not in your data, and it did not fix itself after a few tries. No credits were used. The extension already tries a second time by itself, so if you see this message the second try failed too. Click Discard and write the post again. Adding a few real details in Notes for the AI helps.
"The AI server did not return a draft", or "A post or rewrite is already being written"¶
The AI server was busy or could not be reached, or something else is already being written for your license (a license writes one post or rewrite at a time). Nothing was charged. The extension tries again by itself after a minute. If it keeps happening, wait a few minutes and write the post again.
"Not enough AI credits"¶
A post needs 5,000 credits. Credits reset on the 1st of each month, and you can buy more from Dealer.ms > Billing & Usage. The same credits are used by AI listing descriptions, so a month of posts and descriptions share one balance. The Starter plan includes 10,000 credits a month, which is two posts if nothing else uses them.
"AI blog posts need an active Dealer.ms license"¶
The extension works with every plan (Starter, Standard and Pro), but the license has to be active. Check Dealer.ms > Billing & Usage.
"No available listings found"¶
The post type needs listings that are published and not sold, sale pending or coming soon. For a guide, the topic needs at least one such listing.
A draft says "Writing" for a long time¶
Drafts are written by a background task. If your site gets very little traffic, WordPress may be slow to run background tasks. Visiting any page of your site makes WordPress run waiting background tasks, so open your home page in another tab. If a draft has not finished after ten minutes the card stops refreshing; reload the page to check again.
The AI keeps using a word I do not want¶
Add it to Words to avoid on the Brand voice tab. The check looks for the whole word or phrase, so add each form you want blocked ("cheap" does not block "cheaper").
A rewrite was refused¶
The suggestion is checked like a full post. If it invents a year, a price or a link, or breaks another rule, it is rejected and no credits are used. Try again, or say in What should change? exactly what you want included. "That part of the post has changed" means the paragraph was edited after the suggestion was made. Ask for a new rewrite.
A post was archived and I did not expect it¶
Every vehicle in it was sold, deleted or unpublished for 3 days. Open Review on the post and click Restore post. To stop this happening, set When every vehicle in a post has sold to Do nothing in the Settings tab. The Activity tab of Autopilot says when it happened.
A card shows "this has been sold"¶
That is intended. The card reads the listing live, so a sold vehicle keeps its card with the photo greyed out, a Sold label and a button to similar vehicles. A deleted listing shows a slim "no longer available" box instead. Edit the post to remove the section if you do not want it.
The cards do not match my design¶
Open the Settings tab and choose the SRI template you want, or the simple card. The choice applies to every AI post. Clear your page cache afterwards.
A guide says something I do not think is true¶
Edit it. The checks catch invented numbers, prices, percentages and links, but they cannot know whether a plain sentence about a brand is accurate. Always read a guide before publishing.
The meta description is not in my SEO plugin¶
Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress are filled in automatically. For anything else, copy the suggested description from the Posts tab.
